There are just two jumps cards taking place this afternoon with the action coming from Huntingdon and Kelso.  David has two runners at Huntingdon; River Dun and The Draconian.  River Dun has her first start for the stable in the conditional jockeys' handicap hurdle at 12.25pm.  She has next to no weight to carry and has bits and pieces of form that would give her a chance from a mark of 88, although she would need to improve on most recent efforts.  The Draconian contests the novices' hurdle at 12.55pm and would need to improve on what he has shown so far to figure.  Michael Heard takes the ride aboard both of our runners this afternoon.

There are five meetings taking place this afternoon with jumps cards from Sandown, Wetherby, Aintree and Chepstow as well as an all-weather flat card from Wolverhampton.  David has runners at Aintree and Wetherby today.  Vieux Lion Rouge bids to make it back to back wins in the Becher Chase over 3m2f of the Grand National fences at 1.30pm.  It is a race worth £145,000, so as you would expect, it is massively competitive.  I really rate our runner, even though he is 10lbs higher in the weights than last year - he must go well under Tom Scu.  We also run Rathlin Rose over the National fences (2m5f) at 3.10pm - he finished a good third on his seasonal reappearance and can also go well.

The good form of the yard continued yesterday at Wincanton when Daklondike ran out a ready winner of the 3m1f handicap chase under Tom Scudamore.  This was a good performance under 12-1 and our five year old half-brother to Great Endeavour looks as though he can improve further and hopefully win in a higher grade.

The stable enjoyed a good day yesterday with an across the card double at Ludlow and Haydock courtesy of Red Square Revival and Eamon An Cnoic.  Red Square Revival (above) won with plenty in hand under a good, positive ride from David Noonan, jumping well and looking the likeliest winner from some way out.  Hopefully the handicapper will not be too nasty to him.  Over at Haydock, Eamon An Cnoic (below) was the brave winner of the 2m4f novices' chase.  He was sent off a massive 18/1 chance and our six year old has now won two out of two at Haydock.  The Haydock fences are very stiff, so this was a very good performance under Tom Scu.  Furthermore, the prize money was very good with over £13,000 to the winner and there is a nice picture of him in today's Racing Post.

There are four meetings taking place this afternoon with jumps cards from Ludlow and Haydock as well as two all-weather flat fixtures from Lingfield and Newcastle.  David has runners at both National Hunt fixtures with Eamon An Cnoic running at Haydock and Red Square Revival and Abracadabra Sivola going to Ludlow.  Eamon An Cnoic (pictured above) contests the 1.20pm race at Haydock - he was a progressive handicap hurdler last season but fell on his chasing debut last time.  He has been intensively schooled at home since and is a course winner - this is a trappy little contest with not much to choose between the entire field on official figures.  A clear round is first priority but he should go well under Tom Scu.

There are three meetings taking place this afternoon with jumps action coming from Southwell and Lingfield and well as an all-weather flat card from Wolverhampton.  David has one runner this afternoon as Delface (pictured above) contests the 2m3½f handicap hurdle at 3.30pm.  He is already a winner at Wexford and Ffos Las and is entitled to have come on for his recent run at Leicester.  The step-up in trip should help him and he looks to have sound each-way prospects under Tom Scudamore.

There are three meetings taking place this afternoon with jumps cards from Plumpton and Fakenham as well as an all-weather flat fixture from Southwell.  David has two runners this afternoon at Plumpton; Shaama Grise and Tigger Two.  Shaama Grise (pictured above) makes her debut over fences today in the 2m1f novices' chase at 1.10pm.  She produced some excellent efforts last term including when last seen when runner-up at Sandown.  She gets a handy weight allowance and I don't think she will be inconvenienced by the trip so a big run is expected under Tom Scudamore.  Tigger Two makes his second start in the bumper at 3.40pm - he shaped with promise at Chepstow and while he needs to improve, the experience will have done him the world of good.
