There are five meetings taking place this afternoon with flat cards from Newmarket, Ascot, Redcar and Wolverhampton, while there is a jumps fixture from Fontwell.  David has one runner today as Purple 'N Gold takes in the 2m2f handicap chase at Fontwell at 3.40pm.  He has won from higher marks than his current rating of 122 (including at this track in June, pictured above) although he will need to improve on his most recent efforts to score here.  He wouldn't want any more rain, but even so he is handicapped to go well and could reward each way support at odds of around 16/1.  Tom Scudamore is in the saddle.

There are four meetings taking place this afternoon with flat cards from Ascot and Chelmsford as well as two jumps fixtures from Fontwell and Hexham. Unfortunately David Noonan was not aboard a belated birthday winner yesterday but he has picked up a couple of fair looking outside rides at Fontwell this afternoon, so perhaps he could enjoy a very belated birthday winner?!

There are four meetings taking place this afternoon with flat cards from Lingfield and Chelmsford City as well as two jumps fixtures from Warwick and Huntingdon.  Stable jockey Tom Scudamore has picked up a couple of outside rides at Warwick, while David Noonan (who turned 22 yesterday) has three rides at Huntingdon.  I am not sure I would like to be having my last fiver on any of them, but it would be great for him if he were to ride a belated birthday winner.

There are four meetings taking place this afternoon with flat cards from Nottingham, Salisbury and Kempton as well as a jumps card from Bangor.  It is a quiet day for the stable with no runners from Pond House.  Stable jockey Tom Scudamore has picked up a ride for his brother at the National Hunt fixture although I don't think I will be testing out the 'one ride' theory today.

There are four meetings taking place this afternoon with flat cards from Ayr and Kempton and a couple of jumps fixtures from Southwell and Sedgefield.  David does not have any runners this afternoon, although stable jockey Tom Scudamore has picked up a couple of spare mounts at Southwell.  Of our runners yesterday, Ramses de Teillee fared best in the handicap hurdle finishing a clear second.  He looked the likely winner turning into the home straight but may just have been caught out by the trip on this extremely testing ground.  It was still a promising effort and it looks to be only a matter of time before he is getting his head in front.

There are three meetings taking place this afternoon with flat action from Bath and jumps fixtures from Stratford and Newton Abbot.  Newton Abbot have passed an early morning inspection and racing goes ahead which is good news, but if you are thinking of having a wager make sure that your selection handles plenty of cut in the ground as it is going to be very testing.  David has four runners at the Devon track; Mister Drifter; Work; Ramses de Teillee, Lady Of Longstone, while Marangu Pass runs at Stratford.

There are just two meetings taking place this afternoon with flat action from Epsom and Musselburgh.  Meanwhile, across the Channel it is Arc day at Chantilly and there is a cracker in store for us.  Former champion jockey Richard Hughes says that Enable is going to be mighty hard to beat and he is probably right, although it is a big field and these races can get quite tactical so there are bound to be some hard luck stories and I wouldn't want to get involved at short odds.  I always wait to see what the O'Brien team have in these big races and Winter would appear to be their main hope under Ryan Moore so I would expect her to give Enable a real fight...I wonder when the last time was that two fillies' fought out the finish of an Arc?
