It is a busy afternoon with five meetings taking place although you are out of luck if you like a spot of jump racing - you will have to travel to Ireland for the fixture at Limerick if you want to get your National Hunt fix. At the risk of sounding repetitive the prize money on offer at the jumps fixture is more than three of our flat cards this afternoon, while Leopardstown has more prize money on offer than anybody with £145,000 up for grabs so once more the Irish are leading the way.

The stable had just one runner last night; Massannie who was making her chasing debut at Bangor. Unfortunately she proved very disappointing, finishing last of three in the 2m 4 1/2f novices' chase - her hurdling form gave her a favourite's chance if translating that ability to fences, but having travelled very keenly through the early stages she stopped very quickly and is clearly better than the bare form suggests. There are five meetings taking place this afternoon with four on the level from Catterick, Lingfield, Sandown and Leicester as well as a jumps card from Worcester. Much as you would expect, there is a meeting at Naas in Ireland offering £125,000 in prize money - that's four times as much as Worcester or Lingfield!

There are four meetings taking place this afternoon with two on the flat at Musselburgh and Carlisle as well as two over the sticks at Southwell and Bangor. The stable has one runner; Massanie (pictured above) who makes her chasing debut at Bangor this evening and Tom Scudamore takes the ride, so long as he can find the track! Massannie has schooled well at home and is clearly a very talented mare - she only has 10-5 to carry today and if she puts her best foot forward, a big run would be expected.

It looks like an interesting day's action from the four meetings taking place this afternoon. There are three fixtures on the level at Ayr, Windsor and Beverley as well as a jumps card from Cartmel. The stable has no runners today, although I thought that Street Entertainer ran creditably to finish third under top-weight in a compeititive handicap hurdle at Newton Abbot yesterday. I still think that he can win from his current mark and the faster the ground for him, the better. The spoils undoubtedly went to Hadden Frost who rode a treble on the card - it must have been a belated birthday present from the day before!

It is quite busy for a Sunday with three meetings taking place and unusually for the summer, the jump fixtures outnumber the flat with two National Hunt cards from Newton Abbot and Stratford and a flat meeting from Redcar. We have one runner at Newton Abbot today as Street Entertainer (pictured above) bids to follow-up his Fontwell success in the 2m3f handicap hurdle which takes place at 3.20pm. With £12,300 in prize money it is a competitive looking race and it certainly won't be an easy task to defy top weight, although there is no reason why he should not run well again.

It's a bumper day of action this afternoon with seven fixtures taking place on these shores this afternoon; five of them are on the level at Newbury, Newmarket, Ripon, Haydock and Lingfield, while there are also a couple of quality jumps cards from Market Rasen and Cartmel. Of course, the meeting at the Curragh over in Ireland has the most prize money on offer with £617,000 up for grabs, although that is hardly surprising on this occasion as the feature race is the Group One Irish Oaks. It is Summer Plate day at Market Rasen and there is some cracking good jump racing to look forward to with two Listed races and a valuable hurdle on the card. The stable has five runners at the meeting; Intermath, Serienschock, Hawkhill, Guess Again and Leader Of The Gang. Serienschock (pictured above) and Hawkhill are both exciting new recruits to the stable and on old form they look feasibly treated, although it is very competitive racing.

It's a blank day on the jumping front, but there are six meetings taking place on the level with fixtures from Newbury, Nottingham, Haydock, Hamilton, Newmarket and Pontefract. Much as you would expect, the best prize money on offer today is over in Ireland at their Kilbeggan card where they have £105,000 up for grabs. I know it is very much out of season now, but you would think that race planning would ensure that at least one of those meetings today is a National Hunt fixture...what on earth are they thinking about?
