There is a busy day ahead with no fewer than seven meetings taking place this afternoon. Five of those are on the level and come from Haydock, Chester, Beverley, Catterick and Salisbury while there are jumps fixtures from Cartmel and Ffos Las. David has two runners at Ffos Las; Nice Thoughts in the 7.05pm race and The Draconian at 9.05pm. Nice Thoughts had some fair form on the flat with a rating of 79 and this better ground ought to help him, while The Draconian ran a lot better when third in a bumper last time at Exeter and he looks to have place claims. Stable jockey Tom Scudamore is aboard the pair, although our best chance of a winner appears to come on the flat in the shape of classy hurdler Starchitect (pictured above). He goes in the 7.20pm race at Salisbury and he is napped by the Post. He should handle this quicker ground and is ridden by George Baker and he looks to hold sound claims.

There are six meetings taking place this afternoon with flat action from Haydock, Bath, Brighton, Musselburgh and Pontefract, while there is also a jumps fixture from Worcester. The yard has three runners this evening at Worcester; Purple 'N Gold, Skylander and Westbrooke Warrior. Purple 'N Gold goes in the 6.50pm race, a 2m4f handicap chase - what a fantastic claim he has been, winning on the flat, over hurdles and over fences...and he was David's 1,000th winner to boot. Not bad for £8,000! He was a gutsy winner last time out at Haydock but is 5lbs higher tonight and this is a tricky little race - even so, he should go well once again under Tom Scudamore. Skylander goes in the same race and needs to bounce back from a below-par effort at Aintree last time under Michael Heard, while Westbrooke Warrior contests the novices' hurdle at 7.50pm. He is open to plenty of improvement but needs to learn to settle better.

The stable was among the winners last night when Dusk Till Dawn was the ready winner of the 3m2f chase. I thought that a pair of blinkers and the better ground helped to bring about some improvement and he was quite impressive in the end, jumping well on the whole. With 13 lengths between the second and third it would be no surprise if David were to run him again quite quickly. Meanwhile, Conor O'Farrell and David Noonan were also among the winners at the meeting, with Conor in particular doing well to score after his mount, Floresco went violently left at the second last causing him to lose an iron and nearly unseating him.

There are five meetings taking place this afternoon with flat action from Lingfield, Hamilton and Kempton as well a couple of jumps fixtures from Market Rasen and Newton Abbot. David runs Dusk Till Dawn, Mango Cap and The Two Amigos at Newton Abbot. Dusk Till Dawn was the winner of an Irish point-to-point in 2015 and has shown some fair placed form since switching to rules - he unseated Tom Scudamore last time so a clear round is top priority and with one of those he should go close. Mango Cap hasn't reproduced his French form as yet and would need to improve on what he has shown on these shores to figure in a tight little race. The Two Amigos (pictured above) makes his debut for the stable having won an Irish point-to-point on good ground - he goes nicely at home and even over this shorter trip, a big run is expected although I know the Henderson team fancy Armaans Wish who won on his debut.

There are four meetings taking place this afternoon with flat action from Wolverhampton and Wetherby and jumping from Hexham and Southwell. David has no runners today so stable jockey Tom Scudamore heads to Southwell for four rides and they are all for different trainers. It would be hard to pick out a good thing among them as the shortest price among them is Eye Of The Tiger and the Post make him a 10/1 chance. Meanwhile David Noonan travels all the way up to Hexham for just one ride - I hope it is worth it or it will be a long journey back.

There are four meetings taking place this afternoon but I'm afraid you are out of luck if you are a fan of the jumps as there are just four flat fixtures from Ayr, Leicester, Windsor and Carlisle. Unsurprisingly, David does not have any runners today. I thought that David was going to be among the winners yesterday when Willem came to the last in front in the novices' handicap chase at Fakenham only to get caught close home. He was conceding 15lbs to the winner Salto Chisco and I thought that if he jumped the last cleanly he would have won. He is proving difficult to win with, although there is no doubting that there is plenty of ability there and this was another sound effort.

Ballynagour Winner at Auteuil Last Year
There are six meetings today, flat cards at Haydock, Goodwood, York, Newmarket and Chepstow plus a jumps card at Stratford. David does not not have any runners in this country but we do have two in France! David runs two at Auteuil in the French Champion hurdle trial at 4.55pm (French time, 3.55pm English time). There are 13 runners in the valuable contest and eight of them are from England and Ireland! Ballynagour won this race last year and is the mount of Tom Scu while James Revely rides Gevrey Chambertin. I think the reason there so many English runners might be to do with the fact that David enjoyed a successful raid to France last summer and it has encouraged others to try their luck with such good prize money on offer. Ballynagour is 12/1 in the betting and I think the race is tougher than it was 12 months ago. Gevrey Chambertin is 33/1 but he will love the very soft ground. Lets just hope they both run well as there is good prize money down to sixth place. I don't think I would like to be flying over to France today as the weather doesn't look too good. Good luck David with the horses as well!
