We have one runner today at Market Rasen, the only jumps meeting of the day, Chemical Warfare.  He runs in division two of the 2m4f handicap hurdle, the final race on the card at 5.10pm and Jack Tudor rides.  This is just his third start for us and he was unlucky last time at Worcester, falling at the final fence when holding every chance.  He is yet to win over hurdles in his career but is much lower in the handicap as a result.  Off a light weight this afternoon, and getting a lot of weight from the favourite  I would like to think he has a very good chance.

We have reached Day 3 of Royal Ascot, Ladies day and the feature race on a star-studded card is the Ascot Gold Cup at 4.25pm.  Kyprios is favourite for the Aidan O’Brien team and he won the race two years ago but did not take part last year.  He has won both his starts so far this season and he is my tentative pick for the race.

Only Fools runs at Worcester Today

It was a great days racing and glorious weather for day one of Royal Ascot and fingers crossed for more of the same today.  Charyn was very impressive in the days opener, the Queen Anne Stakes, while it was an amazing day for young jockey Billy Loughnane who won his first Group 1 race at the age of 18.  He is a huge talent and it is always great to have a story associated to these top races.  There was a win for Australia in the King Charles III Stakes while we saw and emotional success for Richard Hannon junior as he won the Group 1 St James Palace Stakes with Rosallion and you could see how much it meant to him in his interview afterwards.

Yesterday we had just the one runner at Carlisle Manuelito, where he made the switch back to the flat after a successful spell over hurdles winning twice. He got a little hampered 2 furlongs out but he ran well all things considered and maybe didn't quite travel as much as we'd hoped for and the leader had made a good gap by the end in front, but he ran on well to the line and finished 2nd.

Mr Tambourine Man wins at Uttoxeter!
Saturday we made our way to Uttoxeter with two runners for their evening meeting. Mr Tambourine Man backed up his win last time out to get his head in front again, on ground that was probably softer than ideal. The handicapper will have his say but hopefully there's still more to come from him as he seems to be in a good place at the moment!

Today we head to Salisbury for Rebel Angel who runs in the 5:30pm Handicap over 1mile 4f with Saffie Osborne on board. She ran well at Chepstow a couple of starts ago and got a little unlucky at Windsor last time out, she actually ran better than her finishing position suggests and she galloped all the way to the line, so hopefully she can build on that run and go well.

Hammer Dan wins at Newton Abbot!
Last night we had three runners at Newton Abbot. Hammer Dan appreciated the better ground last night and ran a lovely race given a good ride from Jack Tudor to come out with his head in front. In the last, we had two for the stable Born In The West & Tres Bien, they both ran well. It was a bit of a strange race, but they were both prominent and Born In The West was unlucky to get caught to finish 2nd and Tres Bien run well to finish 3rd. They both look like horses who are capable of winning races.
