There is no jumps racing in Britain today, but the flat meetings are well represented at Beverley, Nottingham and Thirsk. Over in Ireland, they're racing over both codes with jumping coming from Downpatrick and the flat card coming from Killarney. No runners for the stable today.

We start the new week with one runner over hurdles this afternoon, Old Bridge at Newton Abbot.  He runs in the 2.20pm maiden hurdle over 2m2f and Jack Tudor rides.  He has been a little disappointing since running well at Bangor to be second on stable debut but this looks like a slightly easier race than the one he contested at the track last time.  He is still one of the outsiders of the seven runner field this afternoon but if he were to reproduce his best form that would give him an each way chance.

Jumps action returns today at Stratford and Perth but the stable does not have any runners.  There is one all-weather flat card at Southwell and in Ireland, they have a jumps meeting at Sligo and race on the flat at Navan.  The best flat racing of the days comes from France and they have Group action at Longchamp.  The Grand Prix Du Paris over 1m4f is at 7.25pm and Ryan Moore and Aidan O’Brien team up with Trinity College who was last seen winning the Hampton Court Stakes at Royal Ascot.  There are only six runners and it is a high-class field but the Ballydoyle runner should take all the beating.

It is another busy day of racing and sporting action throughout the country.  There is no jumping in Britain today but there six flat meetings at Newmarket, York, Ascot, Chester, Salisbury and Hamilton.  In Ireland they race at Dundalk and Limerick, both of these are flat fixtures.  The big race of the day again comes from Newmarket with the July Cup, Group 1 stakes over 6F at 4.35pm.  The Godolphin, Charlie Appleby, William Buick team are in red hot form at the moment and won the feature race on yesterday's cards and have the favourite, Notable Speech in this.  He is a high class miler and everyone says he looks worth a drop back in trip to the 6F.  It looks an open betting racing to me and after my selection didn't run very well yesterday, I think I will keep my thoughts to myself!.

It is going to be another very warm day across the country today and there is once again plenty of sporting action to watch, including racing action.  There are no jumps cards in Britain today but there are lots of flat meetings at Newmarket, York, Ascot, Chester and Chepstow.  In Ireland they have two jumps cards at Kilbeggan and Cork.  The feature race of the day at Newmarket is the Falmouth Stakes, Group 1 at Newmarket at 3.35pm for fillies over a mile.  January is bidding to win in July and heads the betting for the Ballydoyle team but there is stiff opposition from the Godolphin Blue with Cinderella's Dream and recent Royal Ascot winner Crimson Advocate who runs for the Wathnan Racing team .  I am actually going to go for one at a bigger price however, the Saeed Bin Suroor trained Elwateen looks interesting to me with Jim Crowley in the saddle.  She didn't stay in the Oaks at Epsom last time after finishing fourth in the 1,000 Guineas and I think she could go well in this.
