There are five meetings taking place this afternoon with flat cards from Haydock, Beverley, Brighton, Kempton and Hamilton so I'm afraid you are out of luck if you are a fan of the jumps.  It's time to name and shame Brighton today who put up a paltry £30,000 for their seven race card.  Sir Frank Morgan finished sixth at Fontwell yesterday afternoon on his first try in a handicap - he didn't appear to see out this longer trip, although he was a thorough stayer on the flat.  Meanwhile Race To Glory ran okay to finish third although I thought he was a little hard done by to be put up 7lbs for finsihing second at Newton Abbot last time - I don't suppose he will be dropped by 7lbs for this?!

There are four meetings taking place this afternoon with flat action from Salisbury and Lingfield as well as a couple of jumps fixtures from Fontwell and Southwell.  The stable has two runners at Fontwell; Sir Frank Morgan and Race To Glory.  Sir Frank Morgan (pictured above) has his first run of the new season although he won a two runner hurdle at Exeter towards the end of April when turning over a 1/2 favourite.  He was a decent staying handicapper on the level with a mark of 79 and I can see him going well once again now his attention is turned to handicaps.  Our other runner, Race To Glory showed improved form last time when runner-up at Newton Abbot although the assessor saw fit to put him up by 7lbs for that effort which I thought was a little harsh.  Tom Scu rides them both and they look to hold sound chances.

There is only one place I can start today and that is Gay Paris!  Un Temps Pour Tout ran out the most impressive winner of the French Champion Hurdle at Auteuil yesterday, scoring by ten lengths under a great front-running ride from James Reveley.  He led all the way and never looked like getting beaten with Ballynagour looking the biggest danger as he moved into second on the home turn before weakening out of it after the last to finish fifth.  The very soft ground certainly helped Un Temps Pour Tout as he gave James Reveley by far the biggest success of his career and a well deserved win for owners Professor Caroline Tisdall and Bryan Drew who have been such great supporters at Pond House.  David's first two winners in France have been the Grade 2 Prix la Barka and the Grade 1 French Champion Hurdle...I wonder how many more he will be lining up to race across the Channel?!

There are just two meetings taking place in this country today with action coming from Goodwood on the level and Perth over the sticks.  David is in Paris where he is doubly represented in the big race at Auteuil, the Grand Course Haies d'Autueil (French Champion Hurdle).  He looks to have decent prospects too with Ballynagour (pictured above) and Un Temps Pour Tout both prominent in the market behind Hurricane Fly.  Tom Scudamore is aboard Ballynagour while James Reveley takes the ride on Un Temps Pour Tout.  The race is due off at 3.08pm local time, which is 2.08pm over here.  Let's hope they run to their best and come back safely.

It is a bumper day of racing this afternoon with seven meetings taking place.  Five of those cards are on the level and the action comes from Epsom, Musselburgh, Doncaster, Lingfield and Newcastle with supporting jumps fixtures from Hexham and Worcester.  The big race of the day of course is the Derby at Epsom which takes place at 4.30pm, while there is also the final leg of the Triple Crown over in the USA with the American Pharaoh bidding to become the first winner of all three legs since Steve Cauthen and Affirmed.  Most importantly though, the stable has two runners in the 4.05pm race at Worcester this afternoon - a 2m4f handicap hurdle.  Perspicace (pictured above, Tom Scudamore) is a promising youngster who won on his debut for the stable, while Bathwick Man the mount of amateur David Noonan is a grand old veteran who wins in his turn.

There are five meetings taking place this afternoon with four flat cards from Epsom, Catterick, Goodwood and Bath as well as a jumps card from Market Rasen.  The wooden spoon goes to Bath today who manage to put on a pitiful £28,000 across their seven race card.  I know there is a horseman's agreement in place with a tarriff for each type of race, although surely the time has come to put a lower limit on the amount of prize money awarded at a race meeting?  David has one runner, Border Breaker in the 4.55pm at Market Rasen - he was twice a winner last season with cut in the ground and while he disappointed on his final start, the application of cheek pieces could make a difference.  Tom Scudamore has four rides at the meeting today.

Today we have five meetings taking place with four flat cards from Hamilton, Lingfield, Wolverhampton and Kempton as well as a jumps fixture from Ffos Las.  We have our first runners of the week at the Welsh track this evening where we are represented by Houston Dynimo and Lady Of Longstone.  Houston Dynimo has been contesting better races than this one and I would expect him to run a big race while Lady Of Longstone was a game winner at the track last time out and while she is 7lbs higher this evening she should give a good account.  Stable jockey Tom Scudamore is aboard the pair.
